NORTH BAY REGIONAL CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Gabriel Rogin has worked with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 25 years

NAPA – The North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) Board of Directors announced on January 10th, 2018 the hiring of Gabriel Rogin as their next Executive Director. The Board initiated its Executive Search process with the support of Kinetic Flow in August 2017 following the retirement announcement from outgoing Executive Director Bob Hamilton.

Mr. Rogin most recently served as the Chief Deputy Director of the State Council on Developmental Disabilities where he played a lead role in advancing the Council’s advocacy, capacity building, and systemic reform efforts for 690,000 people with developmental disabilities throughout the State. His previous management and supervisorial experience at Golden Gate Regional Center, Regional Center of the East Bay and community-based organizations has given him extensive experience with diverse populations and an in-depth understanding of the needs within the developmental services system.

“We are excited to have Gabriel join the NBRC family,” said Angel Giroux-Greber, Vice-President of the Board. “The experience, passion, and knowledge he brings will be an asset to our regional center and staff, the individuals that we serve, families, service providers, and the community at large. With the many changes being proposed at the state and federal level to our service delivery system, the Board is grateful to have a strong leader in Gabriel.”

In his over 25 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, Mr. Rogin has served as a direct support professional, case manager/service coordinator, and in multiple regional center management positions. He has been recognized with the James Latin Self-Advocacy Memorial Award, by the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities, and is the recipient of Executive Director’s Award for Leadership, by Golden Gate Regional Center.

“I’m humbled to have been selected to serve as the next Executive Director of North Bay Regional Center and continue the agency’s legacy of providing quality support for the over 9,000 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who receive regional center services in Solano, Sonoma and Napa counties,” Rogin said. “I look forward to working with NBRC staff, people we serve, service providers, and community partners in the coming months, as we work to achieve targeted outcomes and realize the promise of the Lanterman Act.”

Mr. Rogin holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with an Emphasis in Organizational Change from California State University, East Bay and will assume the position of NBRC’s Executive Director beginning February 12th, 2018.
