Happy National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

We warmly welcome October, which is the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).  This year’s theme is “Increasing Access And Opportunity.”

In our catchment, we continue to actively engage our vendors and community partners to promote employment that is integrated and competitive.  Earlier this year, we had the opportunity of acknowledging over 200 individuals who have continued working as essential workers.  We are proud of them and remain motivated to continue seeking opportunities that support their employment goals.

Some of our efforts include exploring ways to engage our business community, expanding our Paid Internship programs and seeking opportunities for additional employment focused supports.

Here’s additional information on how to begin exploring the different venues that support employment goals for people receiving North Bay Regional Center services.
