Spanish DDS Safety Net Stakeholder Roundtable Discussions

As part of our ongoing effort to expand the continuum of crisis and safety net services, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is again reaching out to families and stakeholders to hear directly about their experiences with, and perceptions about, crisis and other “safety net” services.  DDS is conducting a series of three larger, stakeholder-style Roundtable Discussions throughout the state.

The Northern California Roundtable discussion is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 10-1:00 at North Bay Regional Center

Due to the limited capacity of meeting rooms, we request people RSVP to let us know they’re planning to attend. If any of the Roundtable Sessions fill up, there will be additional opportunities for public comment through the public processes associated with the DS Task Force, as well as an online survey to collect input. The online survey is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DDS-SafetyNetStakeholderInput through November 15, 2019. The Department remains committed to working with its stakeholders as it seeks to further define critical services and supports that act as a safety net for populations with significant needs.

Please RSVP to Charlotte Kelly at (916) 654-1902 or by email to FamilyInput@dds.ca.gov. Charlotte is also available to answer any questions anyone may have about the Roundtable Discussions. Everyone who has RSVP’d will be emailed materials in advance of their meeting date

These meetings support the work of the Safety Net Workgroup of the Developmental Services Task Force (DS Task Force) and will inform the update to the May 2017 Safety Net Plan and future policy discussions related to serving individuals with the most challenging service needs in California.
