Accountant

Position:

The Accountant position provides information to management by researching and analyzing financial data. It is a confidential position under the direction of the Controller that performs a wide variety of accounting, fixed asset, audit, and IT inventory control and accounts payable tasks as assigned.  This position is responsible for implementation and oversight of special projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or Controller.

NATURE OF WORK:

The Accountant is a technical level position that is responsible for accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory control and general ledger activities. This position works with information that must be maintained as confidential.  Duties also include bank reconciliation’s, processing of operations checks, maintenance of various tracking and statistical reports. Responsible for oversight and completion of special assignments. Performs assignments with limited supervision. Provides back up to the Controller.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Two years of professional accounting experience and completion of a BS Degree from an accredited university in accounting or a related field.

Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).

This position is office based.  Remote work may be available after established performance expectations are met.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

 Salary Range:

$57,624 – $77,268 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
