Client Services Assistant – Information Technology (IT)

North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.  We are looking for a Client Services Assistant in our IT Department to join our dedicated team.  At North Bay, we’re promoting opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities.

POSITION

Under the direction of the IT Supervisor, IT Tech or the Director of Administrative Services: will provide support for the day-to-day operations of the NBRC IT Department, to include support and assistance related to computer systems, hardware, and software, via phone, in person, or via remote access.  Will respond to staff requests to provide basic-level assistance.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

Monitor helpdesk tickets, as assigned, and follow-up to ensure requests are addressed and resolved promptly. Respond to basic-level Help Desk requests using ZenDesk and SANDIS7 Help Desk systems. Provide basic assistance with passwords and log in for Windows, Outlooks, SANDIS7, and DocuShare.  Perform workstation set up for employees. Monitor inventory, assist with testing, and initiate service requests, and arrange for repair or replacement of NBRC IT equipment. Assist with Asset-tagged equipment and track and monitor warranty status. In collaboration with Facilities Coordinator, assist and update all agency floorplans to include technology and equipment locations. Maintain IT supplies and equipment. Track and maintain I.T.-related SignNow forms. Respond to basic level SANDIS service requests. Respond to DocuShare access/service requests, monitor storage capacity, and maintain staffing calendar. Maintain IT inventory room, storage room and work areas.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of responsible general clerical or office administrative experience.

OR

Graduation from business school and two years’ experience.

Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).  Must type at a minimum rate of 50 net words per minute from handwritten or printed copy.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in a language in addition to English is desirable and may be required.
  • A valid driver’s license and minimum legal automobile insurance are required and the ability to provide personal automobile transportation during working hours and for after-hours emergencies or access to another form of reliable transportation which meets these minimum requirements.
  • Will be expected to pick up, move and transport office equipment within the office, as well as to other NBRC offices, i.e. monitors, computers, etc. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
  • This position will be expected to support the Napa and Santa Rosa offices via a physical presence and will require regular travel between offices.
  • This position will be primarily based in the office; however remote work may also be occasionally.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

Salary

$38,076 – $51,072 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
