North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.

North Bay Regional Center serves over 10,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. Nature of Work

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Communications and Events Specialist is responsible for developing and proactively managing the production and distribution of all public information produced by the agency, including coordinating the creation, editing, and approval of materials destined for all agency communication channels, such as social media platforms, NBRC’s website and printed material for general/public distribution.  The Communications and Events Specialist will support NBRC’s mission by increasing community awareness and performing outreach efforts for programs and services offered by NBRC.  In coordination with NBRC’s Executive Team, the Communications and Events Specialist will develop strategies to effectively implement internal and external communication and coordinate agency events.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Communications, such as Public Relations, Journalism, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Education, Human Resources, or other related field.
  • At least five years of relevant communications experience.
  • Spanish speaking ability strongly preferred.
  • Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).

Salary Range:

$61,092 – $81,912 with opportunities for 5% increases annually.
