Executive Assistant


Under general direction of the Executive Director, word processes; takes dictation, transcribes machine dictation; responsible for confidential correspondence; answers phones, provides information to the public or refers them to appropriate person; determines priorities of various assigned projects; maintains communication between the Executive Director and chairperson of the Board; coordinates Executive Director’s schedule; provides support to other management staff and administrative staff; other duties as required.


Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of increasingly responsible experience including two years as an assistant to the head of a large department, unit or organization or as an assistant for a complex technical function or profession is preferred.

Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).


Possession of a valid driver’s license, and minimum legal automobile liability insurance, or access to another form of reliable transportation.

Salary Range:

$52,044– $69,744 with opportunities for 5% increases annually.
