We have 1 Intake Referral Coordinator position available in our Napa or Santa Rosa office.

Job Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Intake Department Manager, an Intake Referral Coordinator  handles scheduling and coordinating applicant testing in both the Napa and Santa Rosa office.  The Intake Referral Coordinator is the first point of contact between the regional center and prospective clients over the age of 3 years seeking to access center services.  The Intake Referral Coordinator gathers information and determines the appropriateness of the referral.  The Intake Referral Coordinator provides information about services performed by the regional center as well as referrals to private and public service agencies as appropriate.

Nature of Work

This is a specialist class performing complex and varied duties including, receiving referrals to NBRC from parents, professionals and the general public through phone calls, internet, faxed referrals and walk-ins for Lanterman services and gathering initial information and obtaining records related to eligibility category of concern. Provides applicants with an overview of the Regional Center and categories of eligibility and identifies expectations during the intake process.

Provides resource support and referral information to applicants and their families who may not qualify for intake services. Completes required reports, recoding and forms.  Collaborates and consults with clinical staff, as needed. Assists in gathering statistics related to intake and assessment processes. Coordinates with manager in assigning appropriate referrals to assessment staff who follow up with and complete the eligibility process.  Provides assistance on other tasks as needed by the Intake Department and or agency. As experience and expertise are developed, the successful candidate will function with a reasonable degree of independence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of related experience during which time the employee has demonstrated the ability to assume increasingly responsible duties.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking skills preferred.
  • This position is office based.  Remote work may be available after established performance expectations are met.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

Salary Range

$40,740 – $54,600 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
