Rate Specialist

POSITION:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. The Rate Specialist will act as the agency expert on vendor rates. The Rate Specialist will understand the rate application, rate structure, rate formulas, and implementation of regulatory rate adjustments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in regional center Fiscal Accounting or Resource Development. Operations or possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting or business with 4 years of increasingly responsible accounting experience.

Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities). Applicants who have at least three years of experience working in a California regional center or other program serving people with developmental disabilities in a similar position, but their college degree does not meet NBRC minimum qualifications, may be considered for employment with the prior approval of the Executive Director or his/her designee.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to provide personal automobile transportation, or access to another form of reliable transportation, during and after working hours.  If driving in this position, provide minimum automobile liability insurance as required by California Law.

This position is office based.  Remote work may be available after established performance expectations are met.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

 Salary Range:

$57,648 – $77,292 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
