SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Federal Revenues Department Manager and as the assistant to the Senior Companion Program Specialist,  this position maintains and operates various technologies used in the delivery of instructional and/or interactive programs and courses; the ability to manage complicated databases; assists with all planning and scheduling of volunteer in service presentations and recognition events; collects, reviews and manages daily time-sheets and assists in payroll activities; administrative assistant to the Senior Companion Program Advisory Council.  The Senior Companion Coordinator must be able to travel locally and work within the community.

This position has been established through the Senior Companion Program Grant approved through the Department of Developmental Services. This position is grant-funded and therefore is subject to continuation of grant funds.

Job Requirements

Any combination equivalent to the completion of an Associate’s Degree  with two years’ experience in a social services organization, as well as two years on-the-job experience working with computer applications, operations and systems. Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and basic networking principles.

Two years paid experience at a California Regional Center.

Transportation of volunteers in a private vehicle, passing of Field Print, True Screen and DOJ background checks prior to employment will be required for this position.

  Salary Range

$18.83/hr – $25.23/hr with opportunities for 5% increases annually
