Under the general supervision of the Federal Revenue Programs Department Manager the Senior Companion Specialist is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Senior Companion program.  This position recruits, trains and  supervises volunteers participating in the programs; ensures that volunteers provide appropriate guidance and support to NBRC clients to help them achieve their physical, social and emotional goals; plans and conducts orientation and in-service trainings for volunteers; maintains volunteer records.

The Senior Companion Specialist must be able to travel locally, out-of-town and work within the community.


Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration, non-profit administration or related human services discipline and at least two years’ experience working in and coordinating programs providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Salary Range

$53,796 – $72,120 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
