Job Description:

Senior Service Coordinator (Nonprofit Service Coordinator) Children and Adults.

Are you passionate about providing support and caring for individuals with developmental disabilities? Are you looking for an organization where we help our clients achieve their goals and dreams? North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for a Senior Service Coordinator to join our dedicated team of client program coordinators. At North Bay, we’re promoting opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities; in the role of Senior Service Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the delivery of services to regional center clients including those with intensive physical or emotional needs, ensuring that the client’s Individual Program Plan and its objective are pursued. Responsible for temporarily covering unassigned cases in the Santa Rosa office.


Under the direction of an Associate Director, the Senior Service Coordinator manages the delivery of services to regional center clients with intensive physical or emotional needs and clients in crisis; ensures that the client’s Individual Program Plan is developed and its objectives are pursued; assists clients in use of public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services; monitors vendor services and verifies that services are delivered in accordance with the purchase of service authorizations; evaluates the effectiveness of clients’ Individual Program Plans; ensures that appropriate community resources are made available to the client; conducts annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team; may provide short-term counseling to clients; conducts client assessments. Shall act occasionally, as assigned, in a supervisory or lead capacity, e.g., Officer of the Day or Acting Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

To qualify for the Senior Social Services Case Manager role you must enjoy working with clients and assisting people with developmental disabilities.
Additional requirements of the Senior Social Services Case Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field which offers content related to developmental disabilities (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, and/or Nursing)
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disability
  • Bilingual language ability (Spanish to English) is highly desirable!

This position is office based.  Remote work may be available after established performance expectations are met.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. Also, all NBRC employees must receive their booster dose no later than March 1, 2022, or no later than 15 days after becoming eligible for the booster.  If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

 Salary Range

$57,648 – $77,292 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
