Senior Service Coordinator: Social Services Case Manager Floater

Note: Bilingual Spanish/English skills are strongly preferred.  This position will serve both Adults and Children in Sonoma, Napa and  Solano.

North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for a Senior Service Coordinator to join our dedicated team of client program coordinators. At North Bay, we’re promoting opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities; in the role of Senior Service Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the delivery of services to regional center clients including those with intensive physical or emotional needs, ensuring that the client’s Individual Program Plan and its objective are pursued. Responsible for temporarily covering unassigned cases in both children and adult units, primarily for the Santa Rosa office and also for the Napa office when needed. This position will cover Sonoma, Napa and Solano Counties.

NATURE OF WORK:

Under the direction of an Associate Director, the Senior Service Coordinator manages the delivery of services to regional center clients with intensive physical or emotional needs and clients in crisis; ensures that the client’s Individual Program Plan is developed and its objectives are pursued; assists clients in use of public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services; monitors vendor services and verifies that services are delivered in accordance with the purchase of service authorizations; evaluates the effectiveness of clients’ Individual Program Plans; ensures that appropriate community resources are made available to the client; conducts annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team; may provide short-term counseling to clients; conducts client assessments. Shall act occasionally, as assigned, in a supervisory or lead capacity, e.g., Officer of the Day or Acting Supervisor.

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Social Services Case Manager role you must enjoy working with clients and assisting people with developmental disabilities.
Additional requirements of the Social Services Case Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field which offers content related to developmental disabilities (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, and/or Nursing)
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disability
  • Bilingual language ability (Spanish to English) is highly desirable!

  Salary Range

$53,796 – $72,120 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
