DEFINITION:

Receives and distributes information about referrals and service resources for infants with disabilities and their families.

NATURE OF WORK:

Under the supervision of the Early Intervention Supervisor, the Warm Line Referral Coordinator will receive and distribute information about referrals and service resources for infants with disabilities and their families.  Contacts will include parents, agency staff, and professionals.  Arranges meetings and keeps records on referrals.  Assists with related education and public relations activities.  Provides a variety of clerical duties associated with the project.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Answers toll-free telephone line, completing written referral form and providing caller with information about multiple agency referral and service coordination purpose and procedures; confirms with family by telephone, letter or personal visit the child’s referral to multiple agency coordination team; establishes and maintains files on referred children; develops, maintains, and updates file of local, state and national resources for infants with special needs and their families; assists with scheduling meetings of the multiple agency team; assists with collection of data related to multiple agency team referrals and services; assists with community outreach and public education activities; provides basic clerical support functions; establishes and maintains organized schedule/plan for activities; follows regional center and other service area procedures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of responsible general clerical or office administrative experience.

OR

Graduation from business school and two years’ experience.

Under a mandate issued by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) on September 28, 2021, all Regional Center Employees must be fully vaccinated by November 30, 2021, or be approved for a medical or religious exemption by NBRC. Also, all NBRC employees must receive their booster dose no later than March 1, 2022, or no later than 15 days after becoming eligible for the booster. If offered a position at NBRC, all newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or to engage with NBRC in an interactive discussion regarding a potential medical or religious exemption.

Salary

$43,188 – $57,876 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
