NBRC Self-Determination Advisory Committee Seeks Participants

The state’s new Self Determination program is required to have stakeholder advisory committee participants help to guide the implementation of SDP in all regional center communities. This committee consists of 11 members (1 of these  a DRC represntative) that should reflect the demographics (location, ethnicity) of NBRC’s clients with priority given to clients and family members.

NBRC has received 14 applications and approved 7 individuals for the committee, but would like to approve three more individuals who will meet our demographic makeup.  What we would like:

  • Three more clients or family member applicants from Sonoma County or at least two and another from Napa County.
  • In addition as of yet we have no males, so we’d like to increase our gender diversity.

If you or anyone you know of would like to apply to participate on this committee, please see here:Self-Determination Advisory Committee application
