Toni Marie was one of numerous disability rights advocates who participated in the Keep the Promise Rally at the State Capitol on May 22nd. This important event advocates for the protection of disability services in both federal and state budgets and reaffirms the commitment to “keep the promise” of the Lanterman Act, which guarantees individuals with developmental disabilities the right to the services and supports they need to live more independent and productive lives.

Thank you, Toni Marie and all the advocates who raised their voices to protect and advance the rights of people with developmental disabilities. Your dedication helps ensure that the promise of the Lanterman Act remains a reality for all.

If you’re 18 or older and receive services from us, you may have been invited to participate in a confidential and voluntary survey about your experiences with community services. Your feedback helps improve services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across California. Look for a letter from the State Council on Developmental Disabilities and make your voice count!
