Senior Companion Program

The Senior Companion Program offers folks 55 years of age and older the opportunity to serve their community by sharing their time with adults with developmental disabilities. Senior Companion Volunteers devote 5-40 hours per week to helping these adults lead a more independent and productive life.

No formal education is required. What is important are life experiences and the wisdom that the seniors will share! Senior Companions will receive a tax exempt stipend and other benefits. Locations where volunteers serve include local art galleries, vocational sites, adult day care centers, and day treatment programs.

If you are interested in becoming a Senior Companion Volunteer  contact Melissa Slama at (707) 566-3005.
