On January 1, 2005, the Family Cost Participation Program (FCPP) came into effect. This program applies to families of children ages 0 through 17 who do not have Medi-Cal and are receiving respite and daycare services, requiring the family to share responsibility for purchasing those services.
- The families that meet the following conditions will be identified for FCPP participation:
- Client is between 0-17 years old.
- Client lives at home.
- Client is not eligible for Medi-Cal.
- Family income is at or above 400% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines based on family size.
If you have more than one minor child served by the regional center and affected by FCPP, your family will receive a reduction of rate for each child.
After your percentage of cost participation is assessed (on a sliding scale based upon your family income), the regional center will make arrangements with the service provider for the portion of services for which the regional center is responsible under the state formula.
Failure to provide the required information will result in the regional center setting the cost participation at the maximum amount until such time as appropriate documentation is provided. (Welfare and Institutions Code, Section 4783 (g)(4)). Proof of income instructions
