North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) makes a number of employment choices available to NBRC clients. These include both Group and Individual Supported Employment. As the names indicate, these employment opportunities come with the support necessary to help the individual be successful in his or her employment endeavors either in a group setting with peers or individually, with job coaching support.
North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) recognizes that work is an important part of an individual’s life. It needs to be considered along with his or her needs, desires and ambitions as a whole person. The opportunity to try different employment options should be looked at as a natural part of personal growth.
- Employment services can range from participation in structured work programs, Supported Employment Services or competitive employment.
- Support should be made available to people with developmental disabilities to afford the best opportunity to maintain their employment and provide for career development.
