The Mothers and Babies (MB) Course is a program that promotes healthy mood management by teaching pregnant women and new moms how to effectively respond to stress in their lives through increasing the frequency of thoughts and behaviors that lead to positive mood states. Women’s Social-Sexual Education Class

Autism Speaks Local Grant

The 2016 Autism Speaks Local Grant application opened on Monday, July 18 and will be open until Friday, September 23. Organizations providing services to children and adults with autism can apply for grants of up to $5,000. The goal of this program is to help promote local services that enhance the lives of people affected by autism. Read more.

City of Fairfield Housing Voucher Opens List

The City of Fairfield Housing Authority (FHA) will accept “on-line” applications for both the Housing Choice Voucher wait list and the Project Based Housing wait list beginning at 8 a.m. on July 29th, 2016 through 5 pm July 29th, 2016. The list may close earlier, depending on the volume of applications received.

Social Thinking Comes to the Bay Area

Helping teens tackle social emotional learning requires a unique skill set. In the Bay Area, learn strategies to help teens find their motivation, foster social executive functioning, and explore their options post high school. Organizational skills are also critical for success across our lives; discover strategies for executive functioning and organization. Then, use The Zones of Regulation to explore a variety of tools (sensory supports, calming techniques, and thinking strategies) to help students develop self-awareness and self-regulate within their “zones”.
