The Reunion Symposium – Presentations

The Reunion Symposium took place on Saturday, September 14th at The Backdrop in Santa Rosa. It was a day full of community and connection. We welcomed 126 total attendees and 30 vendored and community resources. There were a total of 4 informational sessions presented during the day. Presentations and information regarding the panels can be found below.

Session 1: Connections California 

Learn more about Connections California, a statewide, online resource and information hub focusing on transition to adulthood and adult services. It includes more than 100 e-learning videos and a robust schedule of 100+ live webinars a year in English and Spanish. Transition to adulthood can be hard! Connections California resources can make it easier.

Session 2: Self-Determination Program

In this segment, we had the opportunity to hear first hand from a family receiving services through SDP. We learned about their journey and heard how NBRC supported them through this program!

Session 3: NBRC and ABA Services

In this session we will cover a brief overview of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including its principles and characteristics. Additionally, we will discuss the critical role family participation plays in therapy sessions and the benefits of collaborative teamwork with other professionals, and behavioral support services that NBRC offers.

Session 4: Nurturing Connections: A Parent’s Guide to Support and Advocacy

This panel comprised committed parents and representatives from local parent resources and support groups in Napa, Solano, and Sonoma County. Each member contributed distinctive perspectives and invaluable experiences.
